Russian River Gateway Project

River Arts is working with other local organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and others, to envision a more vivid, colorful and welcoming entrance to the lower Russian River area.

New sidewalks and retaining walls in the vicinity of the iconic old and new bridges crossing the river create an opportunity to develop a unique and welcoming entranceway to Guerneville and the entire lower Russian River area.

At the moment, the focus is on creating a mural or other work of art on the large retaining wall south of the bridge and on the east side.

River Arts is working with the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and also River Electric, a new camping resort which is just opposite the proposed mural.

At the moment we are seeking statements of interest, with samples, from interested muralists and artists.
