In 2022, Supervisor Lynda Hopkins initiated a committee, which River Arts is part of, to design and later utilize, a new park on unused County land on the west end of town behind the Park & Ride.
The park will contain stages and other spaces where theater, music, festivals and other events can be produced.
As of June 2026, most of the funding has been obtained through the Sonoma County Open Space District and construction is intended to begin in 2027.
