Mural Project

As part of our vision of seeing Guerneville as s fun, colorful, lively creative hub and arts-inspired community, we envision a multi-year project to create murals all over town. We have identified over 30 possible mural locations and four murals have already been created.
Our goal in 2026 is to clean up one of the ugliest eyesores in town, the parking lot of a liquor store at the corner of Main and Church Streets. With our encouragement, the owners have already put in a bin to contain the ugly dumpsters, cleaned up the lot and River Arts is now in the process of creating the first of, what we hope to be, two or three murals on the sides of the building.
In the past, students from the Guerneville School, under the guidance of an experienced mural artists, did our first, beautiful, signature mural on the fence at the Timberline Restaurant. Due to changes at the restaurant, the mural will shortly be moved to the Guerneville School.
We also worked with the Boys & Girls Club to produce a colorful mural in front of the library and we did a lively and vibrant mural at the entrance to the County offices in Guerneville.
