Collage Project

The Collage Project is an ongoing initiative to offer the opportunity for everyone, regardless of skill or experience to make art. Designed by River Arts member, Douglas DeVivo, owner of the Blue Door Gallery, the project offers both in person instruction as well as free kits that allow people to make their own collages in a no pressure at your own pace environment. Our goal was to invite artists and non-artists to participate in making something creative. In 2025 we distributed over 300 kits to the community. The Russian River Senior Center, the library, River Arts Give Back Tuesday and First Saturday Art Walk are just a few ways we have shared the kits.

The kits contain everything you need to make 2-3 collages: glue, various papers, poster board and instructions to HAVE FUN and BE CREATIVE. For 2026 the project will continue and will include the opportunity for completed projects to be shared on our website. If you would like a kit, just ask at the Blue Door Gallery.
