Guerneville, CA 95446

As part of the Día de los Muertos Community Ofrenda, River Arts will be hosting a free community art event.  Douglas DeVivo of Blue Door Gallery will be on hand to help people of all ages and skill levels to embellish a skull hanging ornament or necklace.

This year, we’re adding a special cultural tradition to Guerneville’s Halloween celebration and kermés with the creation of a community Día de los Muertos altar, or ofrenda, led by Karla Garcia of the Guerneville Wine Collective and Carlos of The Rainbow.

Día de los Muertos is a cherished Mexican tradition that celebrates remembrance in a joyful and beautiful way, honoring those who have passed by keeping their stories, personalities, and memories present among us. We invite all of Guerneville to be part of creating an ofrenda that reflects the love and memories of our entire community.
