Creative Youth After School Program

River Arts’ Creative Youth After-School Project offers a welcoming space where local students can explore art, music, and creative self-expression in a supportive environment. Guided by teaching artists and mentors, participants get hands-on experience with painting, drawing, mixed media, movement, and collaborative projects designed to spark imagination and build confidence. Each session encourages students to experiment, discover their own artistic voice, and connect with peers through shared creativity.

Beyond the arts themselves, the program fosters skills that last long after the school day ends. Students learn teamwork, problem-solving, and communication while developing healthy habits of curiosity and resilience. Whether they’re preparing for a community showcase or simply enjoying the process of making something new, the Creative Youth After-School Project helps young people feel seen, inspired, and empowered—strengthening both individual growth and the creative fabric of the Russian River community.
