About Us
Building Community Through Creativity
In April 2021 a group of artists, creatives and others came together to form River Arts. The idea of a vibrant and active arts organization in Guerneville and the lower Russian River with the further goal of an Arts and Community Center has been a long-sought wish of many in the community. In coordination with County Supervisor Lynda Hopkins, the establishment of an actual Arts and Community center is within reach.
To launch this organization, activate the community and build support for such a Center, River Arts embarked upon an ambitious agenda of events and programs for 2022, which has continued to grow since then.
River Arts enters 2026 with a growing slate of projects and programs: ArtWalk, Community Art, Collage Project, Craft Fair, Music in the Galleries, Pond Farm Artist-in-Residence, Creative Youth and many more.
We focus on playful public participation– generating opportunities for fun hands-on creative activities by everyone in the community.
River Arts also sees the arts and creativity as a growing economic engine for Guerneville. We want to put Guerneville on the map as an arts destination.
We rely on and affirmatively seek volunteers. Even occasional help with our projects is greatly appreciated. Please see the Volunteer page for full information.
We are small but feisty– your support, as a volunteer, financially, through participation or any other way, is what keeps us going. Please join with us!
